I thought it was just my parents. And I understand there is some truth to it, that if you’re from a similar socioeconomic background it’s easier to be compatible for marriage and for the two families to come together. But obviously socioeconomic status is only one small aspect and doesn’t truly represent the individual.
oh my i'm so glad hearing i'm not alone!! and yeah it does mean you both have a similar shared set of experiences already and don't have to play catchup so there is some truth to it
